Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival 2016

COBB & CO, RIDDOCH STREET
Outback Pride at Cobb & Co Penola offered a series of
tasting experiences for all ages, designed to celebrate
indigenous culture and to discover the distinctive flavours of
Australian native foods.
Your cultural guide to these unique foods was Gwamu man Bill
Speedy. Bill grew up in outback Queensland and spent
many years in the bush with his grandfather, who passed
on traditional Indigenous methods of tracking, hunting and
bush survival. Since his outdoor childhood, "Nullabill"
has spent many years in the tourism industry, sharing his
knowledge and introducing numerous visitors to the ancient
culture of Australia's First Peoples.
The Festival was a wonderful success, with many enjoying the
indigenous education, activities and fantastic spread of Outback
Pride native foods at Cobb & Co Penola. Thank you to all who
were able to join us!
Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference 2016
A wonderful time was had by all at the Australian Indigenous Tourism Conference -
AITC 2016 in Western Australia in March!
